Added support for the collapsible screens on the Sony
UX-40/50, Garmin iQue-3600, Tungsten T3, TapWave Zodiac
Added support for 5-way navigation buttons and new
Navigation feature on Treo600.
When linking to an appointment or ToDo, the date of the item being
linked from is now put at the top of the Date Picker's return list (so you can
quickly return to whatever date you came from without having to remember what
it was).
If preference to display week numbers is set, tapping on
the title line in the day view to display the time (and week number) now also
includes the Julian Day Number (day of year), unless the current timezone
differs from the home time zone (with yet one more exception - on a landscape
mode device - they WILL both be shown as there is room in landscape mode).
Now maintains separate preference values for the size of the split-screen
depending upon whether the screen is in square or portrait mode.
Adds ability to toggle completion of events and ToDo's in
the List View using menu item in Record Menu (on Treo600, Option/Return
will also toggle the completion of those events).
Now includes help feature for when the split-screen
displays no records -- if you tap on the message, DateBk5 tells you which
preferences or category settings are causing items to be hidden.
Adds preference option in Sounds&Buttons dialog of Alarms
Tab in the main DateBk5 preference panel to allow the display of alarms on
private events that would normally be masked or hidden. Note that to set this
preference, you do have to enter a password. Also fixed new issue in recent
step release of not displaying alarm text when Security was set to Show
Records.
Rocker up/down/select on Treo270/300 models can now be used
to select individual events and bring up details, etc. (see Jog dial for
details of implementation).
RECORD COMPLETION Date preference for ToDO's and Font preference for
Address details have now been moved into the ToDo and SPLIT tabs respectively
of the main preference panel (they used to be read from the preference
databases of the native PIM applications).
JAPANESE: Now properly handles phonetic separator in list, address details
and Call Action Templates. Also displays Last Name | First Name in Address
details.
The List view has always suppressed items with ~HIDE~ in the subscription
(although this was not documented) - this release adds a feature by saying that if
you search specifically for the text ~HIDE~, then ONLY items with ~HIDE~ in
the note field will be displayed.
Menu key brings up the regular menu first on all devices
(including Treo600 now) and if you press Menu again while menu is displayed,
the Split-Screen menu appears. Pressing menu a third time will dismiss the
Split-Screen menu. This function is available on all Palm OS devices (so
pressing Ctrl/M twice on a UX-50 or tapping the silkscreen menu button now
brings up the split-screen menu). And on all devices a double-tap on the menu
button will bring up the split-screen menu
When an alarm goes off on a masked event, the security
password dialog now appears. If the password is entered, the text of the item
is displayed, otherwise the "Private & Non-Displayable" text appears instead.
The Edit button is also now displayed for a masked event (you have to enter
the password again if you tap Edit, but at least it will now take you to the
day where the event is displayed).
Menu Icon at top left now changes to a red down-arrow to
draw attention to the split-screen window feature. Also, split-screen will not
re-open when DateBk5 is relaunched unless the split-screen was explicitly
opened by the user (i.e. if opened by the system for a link/Call-Action, etc.
the window will be closed the next time DateBk5 is launched.
V-1.7b of dbScan can now recover the classic PIM databases
on a Tungsten E or T3 if they include deleted records that crash the
DataManager Patch with a DmWrite Error on any attempt to create new records.
This fixes all four databases (and may therefore be useful for anyone using
third party apps that access the classic PIM databases).
Added support for third party application PhoneMagic:
Added support for third party dialing program: TAKEphONE - provides
dialing capability for many Palm OS Smartphones.
If memo database does not exist (possible only on Tungsten
E/T3 at this time), DateBk5 will now automatically create an empty database
rather than keep complaining about it being missing.
New low-rez icon for application screen (matches the hi-rez
icon). Also new hi-rez and anti-aliased low-rez icons for About dialog.
Final Release
If Find all Items is used or some other search results in a blank list,
tapping GO button now uses today's date instead of start of Palm Calendar.
Removes use of WinScreenLock and Unlock on OS4.0 and OS 4.1 Clie's as
those Palm OS API's are not properly implemented and can cause obscure and
bogus MQWIN.c unlock out of sync reset errors (such as in Phone
Lookup).
Handera: removes misplaced horizontal line drawn in window title of list
view.
Reassigned bitmap resource for alarm icon in command menu bar so it would
not interfere with icon collections accessed via resource ID using that same
number.
Feature to toggle between bold/regular fonts in popup list in day view
when default font was set to bold (and which then toggles between bold and
large bold instead so you can see the difference) was only being applied to
appointments - it now is applied to ToDo's as well under those same
conditions.
Cheers!
